Top 10 First Person Shooter Games

1.Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare

Advanced Warfare, like the other Call of Duty titles, is presented in a first-person shooter perspective. However, the game features several changes; unlike other installments, Advanced Warfare does not use a traditional heads-up display; instead, all information is relayed to the player via holographic projections from the weapon equipped. The general gun-play remains unchanged, apart from new mechanics; for example, certain guns will be able to recharge slowly. The player can also switch between different types of grenades. The game will also be the first in the Call of Duty series that will allow the player to choose differing types of conventional weaponry; for example, the game will feature regular conventional firearms, but the player can also choose to use Laser or Energy directed weaponry, both of which have differing attributes.

2.Far Cry 4

The game follows Ajay Ghale, a young Kirati-American of Nepali origin who returns to his native country Kyrat (presently in Nepal) to spread his deceased mother's ashes. Kyrat was an autonomous state in Himalayas which was ruled by separate Kyrati Kings. Kyrate is derived from Kirati, a collection of Himalayan people originating from Tibet bordering Himalayas. He finds the country in a state of civil war between Kyrat's Royal Army led by the country's eccentric and tyrannical king Pagan Min and the Golden Path, a rebel movement fighting to free Kyrat from Min's oppressive rule. The choices Ajay makes will determine the fate of Kyrat. This story has been inspired by the ten years long Maoist insurgency in Nepal.

3.Deus Ex Human Revolution

Release Date: Aug 23, 2011
Genre: Action, First Person Shooter
Theme: Sci-Fi
Rating: M for Mature
Game Modes: Single player, multiplayer
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a sci-fi action video game that stands out as one of the top games of 2011 and my top first person shooter. It does an excellent job of blending role playing and stealth elements into the FPS game play. Deus Ex: Human Revolution takes place 25 years prior to the events of the first Deus Ex title in the year 2027 a time when corporations have become more powerful than governments. Players take on the role of Adam Jensen, head of security for one of these corporations, who is gravely injured in a brutal attack. The open ended storyline has players searching for those responsible for the attack.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 goes with the "it it's ain't broke, don't fix it" motto and it works well. It offers tried and true game play and storyline in both the single player campaign and multiplayer game modes. Players will take up arms against them as part of the resistance force hoping to drive them from the continent. Homefront contains a single player campaign as well as a multiplayer modes.

9.Call of Duty: Ghosts

Campaign

In Call of Duty: Ghosts, the story is mostly told through the eyes of one single character, Logan Walker. Players assume the role of Logan for most of the game, with several other playable characters, including an astronaut specialist named Baker, and Logan's father, Elias Walker.

Multiplayer

The multiplayer in Call of Duty: Ghosts features changes from that of previous Call of Duty games as some new mechanics have been added to it. Maps now have areas that can be altered or destroyed. On certain maps there is a nuke-like kill streak reward, the KEM Strike. You can get the ODIN kill streak by either getting a certain amount of kills or you can get it by killing the top player on the other team and then completing various challenges after picking up a blue briefcase that is dropped. The sniper rifle scopes also have new "dual render technology" allowing the player to see around the outside of the scope (although blurred) when zoomed in. On October 3, a new multiplayer type was revealed, called Squads. This features a squad that you build and you can face other squads around the world. Your squad can be leveled up and will act like a true individual. "Octane", "Prison Break", "Tremor", "Freight", "Stormfront", "Siege", "Warhawk", "Sovereign", "Overlord", "Flooded", "Strikezone", "Whiteout", "Stonehaven" and "Chasm" are the maps that are in Call of Duty: Ghosts so far. The dynamic map, "Free Fall", was a pre-order bonus. The game now features playable female soldiers.

10.Modern Warfare 2

Campaign

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story.
Each level is a mission that features a series of objectives that are displayed on the head-up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. Damage to the player is shown by blood appearing on the screen. The player's health regenerates as time passes. Tasks vary in their requirements, from having the player arrive at a particular checkpoint, to eliminating all enemies in a specified location, to defending an objective from enemy attack, or planting explosive charges on an enemy installation. The player is accompanied by friendly troops who cannot be issued orders. Laptop computers that contain enemy intelligence appear throughout the campaign and may be collected.
In one level, an option was given to skip it, due to the graphical nature of the scenario it portrayed of a massacre of civilians by terrorists.

Cooperative

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 features a cooperative mode titled Special Ops, which consists of independent missions similar in design to the "Mile High Club" epilogue mission from Call of Duty 4. These missions take place in a variety of locations from the campaign mode, but are not related to the campaign. Most of the Special Ops missions may be played alone (except 2 missions, which require two players, both missions in the "Bravo" group), but all missions support two player cooperative play in which two players can play together locally or online. Scenarios included are a snowmobile race between the two players, one player providing air support from an AC-130 with the other player conducts operations on the ground, capturing an enemy compound, and searching areas for and eliminating 40 or more enemies at a time.
Special Ops is divided into five separate groups of missions: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. Each mission may be played at three difficulty levels: regular, hardened, or veteran. Successfully completing a mission earns the players stars, with up to three stars available for each mission; one star for completing the mission on regular difficulty, two for hardened, and three for veteran. Once enough stars are earned, more missions are unlocked. There are a total of 23 missions with their respective 69 stars available for unlock. At the end of each mission, a statistics screen displays how long the player or players took to complete the level and how many kills were scored by each player, amongst other data.
